Troulou awards 2012-2013
Best picture: Life of Pi
This movie definitly wins the best picture award. It gives us astoniching views of the sea. The combination of awsome special effects and incredible animation makes this movie cool to listen but awesome to watch.
Best movie: Django Unchained
Again, Quantin Tarantino made a strange piece of art by giving us Django. This movie shows with a special humor the hard reality of the racism in the south states of America before and during the Civil War. Regardless of the heavy atmosphere of the movie, the characters a well played and the ambiance is perfect. But watch out, there are a lot of intense bloody scene just as the guys like theme!
Best actor: Daniel Day-Lewis, in Lincoln, playing as Abraham Lincoln
I don't know Daniel Day-Lewis at all, but I really like his acting in this particular movie. It gives us a good image of this modest president in the conflict between south states and the north states during the Civil War. Even if the movie gets a little bit boring because of the need of action, it's interesting to see how Abraham Lincoln had a prematured idea of the modern psychology. And Daniel Day-Lewis plays the roll so prefectly that we can really can get into this awsome character.
Best support role: Christopher Waltz, in Django, playing as Dr. Schultz
In the movie, Dr. Shultz is a german bounty hunter who needs the help of Django to finish a job. The funny part of this is that Christopher Waltz is actually a real german. In fact, the character and the actor fits so perfectly together that every thing he does seem natural. Add this to the funny lines he has in the film and it is impossible to hate the Dr. Schultz.
Best animated movie: Wreck-it-Ralph
In this new Walt Disney animated movie, Ralph, the villain of the Fit-It-Felix arcade video game, rebel against his role and dreams of becoming a hero. He travels between games in the arcade, and ultimately must defeat a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade that he inadvertently started. The film combine a solid scenario and a cool humor that makes laugh the olders as well as the youngers.
